WD-T60 four-wheel-drive aluminum alloy tank crawler chassis supports plastic and metal track options, equipped with 12V geared motors with a 5-10kg load capacity. Pre-reserved abundant expansion holes make it ideal for DIY robot assembly, academic teaching research and intelligent vehicle secondary development.

Product Overview

WD-T60 four-wheel-drive metal tank chassis is a cost-effective lightweight DIY crawler robot development base. The whole frame adopts high-strength CNC aluminum alloy material and adopts mature four-wheel drive structure. Two track options are available: wear-resistant plastic track and high-strength metal track.The chassis is pre-installed with 12V V37 brushed DC geared motors, with conventional geared motors and encoder geared motors as two optional configurations, meeting basic motion control and closed-loop speed measurement control demands respectively.

A large number of standard mounting holes are reserved on the top panel for flexible installation of main control boards, sensors, cameras, robotic arms, lidar and other functional modules. The chassis does not come with control kits by default. Customers can customize matched drive boards, remote controllers and main control boards according to development requirements. It is widely applied in maker DIY production, school teaching experiments, robot competition prototypes and intelligent inspection equipment R&D.

A1: The standard configuration only includes mechanical structure and motors. Control kits, remote controllers, batteries and chargers are not equipped. You can contact customer service to get matched control solutions.

Q2: What are the differences between plastic tracks and metal tracks?

A2: Plastic tracks are lightweight, quiet and economical, ideal for indoor flat ground; metal tracks feature outstanding wear resistance and toughness, more suitable for gravel roads and slightly rough outdoor surfaces.

Q3: Can this chassis be matched with Arduino / STM32 / Raspberry Pi?

A3: Yes. The reserved mounting holes are universal and perfectly fit all mainstream main control boards. We can provide wiring reference drawings on request.

Q4: What is the maximum load capacity of WD-T60?

A4: The standard designed load capacity ranges from 5kg to 10kg. The load capacity can be properly upgraded by customizing high-torque motors.

Q5: Is the encoder motor hard to operate for beginners?

A5: Conventional geared motors are recommended for new users. Encoder motors are more suitable for users requiring speed control, navigation and ROS development. We can provide basic reference control codes.

Q6: What kinds of terrain is this chassis suitable for?

A6: It adapts well to indoor floors, cement roads, short lawns and fine gravel roads. Its obstacle crossing limit is 20mm, so it is not recommended for severely rugged terrain and deep muddy roads.
